Stopped by Becky’s Diner and ordered the lobster roll, and it delivered exactly what I was hoping for. The portion of lobster was generous, fresh, and well-prepared simple, no frills, and delicious. The value was okay for what you get, especially considering the portion size and quality, but you’re really paying for a solid, classic Maine lobster roll done right rather than anything fancy. Overall, it’s definitely worth a try if you’re in Portland and want an authentic diner experience with a straightforward, satisfying lobster roll.

Great place! Great food. The homemade corned beef hash was out of this world. The service was good. Prices were fair for the location. The place is old and could use a little updating but everything was clean. The fruit bowl was super generous and very fresh with a very yummy yogurt and granola. It's rare that a breakfast place puts that much effort into their fruit bowls.

Becky’s Diner is the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve stepped right into the heart of coastal Maine. From the moment we walked in, the cozy diner atmosphere, the friendly chatter, and the smell of fresh seafood on the grill set the tone for a great meal. I ordered the fried haddock sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious — perfectly golden, flaky, and seasoned just right. My husband had the clam chowder, which was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. It’s the kind of simple, satisfying food that reminds you why New England seafood is so beloved. The location couldn’t be more perfect — right on Portland’s working waterfront, where you can watch boats and feel that salty breeze while you eat. Becky’s has been serving locals, fishermen, and visitors since the early 1990s, and it’s easy to see why it’s stood the test of time. There’s no pretense here — just genuinely good food, warm service, and a piece of Portland’s history served up with every meal. This is the kind of spot you look forward to returning to.

I had pretty high expectations going into this diner, and while everything didn’t quite blow me away, it was still a solid experience overall. The food was okay nothing exceptional, but definitely enjoyable. What really stood out was the service. The staff was friendly, and made the visit feel welcoming from start to finish. We went on a weekend for brunch, it wasn’t too busy so we didn’t wait but maybe there’s a wait time during the weekends.

Nice diner that gives you a neighborhood spot feel. It was near our hotel. We went on a Wednesday at 8am and it was full. We came at a good time because we didn't have to wait. Everything was pretty standard breakfast fare with the one exception, lobster Benedict. So of course I ordered it. We also ordered the blueberry pancakes and scrambled eggs with sausage. The pancake was fine but it was not very fluffy. The scrambled eggs was good and the sausage was one long Italian sausage. It had a little kick. The lobster Benedict was good with a nice amount of lobster. Perfectly runny egg. It was a bit pricey. I had a whole 1.5lb lobster at Luke's Lobster for $31 and the Benedict was $34 with maybe 6oz of lobster. It's a good place for a sit down full breakfast.

Worth the wait. After waiting 45 minutes for a table, the service was quick and friendly. Food was ordered and out of the kitchen within 10 minutes. Omelettes were tasty but those blueberry pancakes were amazing. Awesome spot for breakfast and highly recommend!
